This policy explains what information Foods Market collects through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. It applies to visitors to the website, to people who contact us through it and to customers who place orders on it.

Information we collect

We collect what you give us: the details submitted through the contact form, the bulk quote form, the newsletter signup or the checkout. That typically means your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the contents of your order.

If you open an account we also store your password in hashed form and any addresses you choose to save. Our server records standard technical information for every visit, including IP address, browser type and pages viewed, which is used for security and to understand which parts of the site are useful.

Payment information

We do not store card numbers. Where an order is paid online you are handed to the payment provider, who processes the card or mobile money transaction and returns only the result to us. What we keep is the amount, the provider's reference and whether the payment succeeded.

Who we share it with

Your name, address and phone number are given to the driver delivering your order, because that is how it reaches you. Payment details go to the payment provider. Beyond that we do not share your information, and we never sell it or pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a session cookie so that your basket and the forms work correctly and stay protected against cross-site request forgery. Where analytics is enabled, an analytics cookie is used to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can block cookies in your browser, though checkout will then not work.

How long we keep it

Orders and invoices are retained for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Enquiries and quote requests are kept while they remain commercially relevant. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to the records we are obliged to keep. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and without a login.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed and are not recoverable by us. Access to orders and enquiries is limited to authorised staff accounts protected by individual passwords.
